This beautifully restored vintage oak bureau/writing desk is poised to become the centerpiece of any room. Offering both style and functionality, it boasts three spacious drawers and a generous work surface.

The external body has been cleaned, sanded, filled, and painted in Fusion’s Bayberry - an earthy green that is complimented by the gold highlights I have added to the drawers, drop-down leaf, and front legs. A gold flamingo design paper has been added to the inside of the desk.

The outside of the drawers and drop-down leaf have been sanded back and given three coats of Osmo oil to bring out the beautiful wood grain.  The sides of the drawers have been stamped with French writing in the same Bayberry colour.  Gold leaf has been added to the front of the small internal drawer to pull the look together.

For added durability, the entire piece has received three coats of varnish. Original vintage handles have been lovingly restored, and the set includes the original key and a gold tassel.

This meticulously crafted bureau is as visually striking as it is practical—a true gem of furniture craftsmanship.
