This elegant bureau / writing desk has been lovingly restored and would make a great focal point in any room. In addition to looking good, it is a practical piece of furniture that offers ample storage by means of 3 large drawers and a large work area.

The external body has been cleaned, sanded and painted in Bunty's Eclipse, a deep blue which is complimented by the gold highlights I have added to the drawers, drop-down leaf and shells on the legs. The lovely burr walnut veneer on the drawers, drop-down leaf and top of the bureau has been restored and brought back to its former glory, making the beautiful grain pattern really pop.
 
The sides of the drawers have been embellished with a subtle writing scroll stencil.  Inside is mainly dark blue with a gold trim around the work area and gold leaf applied to the back.

The original hardware has been cleaned and sprayed in gold to pull the whole piece together.

The whole piece has then been given two coats of varnish for durability.
